School Corruption

Liz James · September 15, 2022 ·

I’m an Aggie. I also hold a degree from UT. None of this matters. In fact, as part of an alumni family, we should be holding our school’s feet to the fire when shenanigans are going on. Things are changing on campuses all over the United States, and for those of us who are older….. they aren’t what they used to be. Colleges and Universities with the exception of a very few I can think of (ie: Liberty, Hillsdale ) are indoctrination centers. I hear story after story of friends who have sent their kids off to college, thinking they were grounded in truth and ready to face the world, only to have their kids come home with woke ideology.
I’m not proud of A&M. In fact, Charlie and I have said repeatedly (and to the Alumni associations who call us) we will not give a dime to an entity that is weaving “woke-ism” into their structure and curriculum.
I am proud of Texas A&M finance professor Richard Lowery for filing a class action lawsuit to (hopefully) end one aspect of woke-ism on campus. His class action lawsuit will at least bring a greater awareness to what exactly is going on. All men ARE created equal. https://texasscorecard.com/…/professor-sues-texas-am…/
I listened to a podcast about the infiltration of CCP into Texas schools…. and sadly A&M was highlighted again. (Don’t worry UT and UNT fans, ya’ll get your spotlight too) If you want an earful of what has actually been going on from kindergarten to collegiate levels, take 17 minutes to listen to this podcast: https://texasscorecard.com/…/chinese-infiltration-of…/
Make no mistake. The CCP and woke ideology are intertwined. This is how you destroy a country from the inside out.
God bless America! 🇺🇸

Fetal Programming

Liz James · August 16, 2022 ·

The Southern Side of the Endocrine System: What in the heck is fetal programming?

You’ve heard it, and perhaps you’ve even believed it…. the puffed up 10% truth most of us have been trained to wholly believe… that genetics largely determines our health fate. However, if you’ve stuck with me this long you’re a seasoned super sleuth and will already know that we have the upper hand. In becoming the conscientious gatekeepers of our personal “temples” (see I Corinthians 6:19), we are prohibiting the careless destruction caused by all things toxic to the mind, body, and spirit, and are largely (upwards of 90+%) able to prevent and circumvent the expression of wayward genes. THIS is what personal health and wellness management should look like.

There is another aspect to this though that I’ve not yet mentioned: womb life, and what that means to us as adults. “Fetal programming” is the propensity for developing a disease or dysfunction later in life based solely on environmental womb conditions… not genetics. Fetal programming starts the moment Harry (sperm) met Sally (egg) on the fallopian tube highway , and the effects of it will be felt throughout life and the life of your kids. Yes, what happened in your womb experience can affect future generations. Talk about scripture being walked out in life! (Exodus 20:5)

Because I believe in learning from history, let me give you a well documented example of this phenomenon. During the winter of 1944 World War II, the Dutch suffered a 6 month starvation event at the hands of the Nazi’s. More than 4 million people were affected, surviving on about 30% of normal caloric intake. As you might suspect, pregnant women who lived through the Dutch Hunger Winter gave birth to babies who weighed a fraction of what a term baby should weigh. As adults, these children were found to be more susceptible to diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and other health problems, while their siblings did not. As a result of being starved “in utero”, their bodies developed a “thrifty” mechanism which altered insulin production and the normal metabolism of sugar. As a consequence, when these children grew into adulthood and lived in a “normal food availability” world, their body still responded as though it was living in a state of starvation.

While an adaptation like this is meant to be a survival mechanism, it doesn’t always work out that way in health.

More examples of this include:
🧐A 2009 study which showed an association between maternal anxiety during pregnancy and the development of asthma in offspring.
🧐A 2011 study which looked at the effects of a violent environment on a fetus during pregnancy. Offspring tended to have poorer health, more difficult temperament, and increased likelihood of depression.
🧐A May 2022 study found that maternal prenatal depressive symptoms had a negative effect on toddler behavior which began expressing by the time they were 18 months old.
🧐Research has also shown that even chronic (key word) mildly stressful living situations can lead to negative changes in the fetus neurologically. The formation of neurons in a fetus begins at the 42nd day of pregnancy, and by the 28th week of pregnancy, a baby’s brain contains billions of neurons….. 40% MORE than the adult brain contains. After the 28th week of pregnancy, complex structural and functional changes in the brain take place, and a chronically stressful environment has an effect on this development. The environmental impact of womb life on a baby’s brain and body development is huge!
Perhaps you are curious how this happens…. ie: the root causes?
👶During stress, there is a rise of maternal cortisol activity in the mom. A chronic higher than normal cortisol activity is thought to lead to the triggering of atherosclerosis, insulin resistance, and cholesterol levels as the babies advance through their own adulthood. Low birth weight babies (a clue!) are more likely to grow up having an exaggerated stress response and secrete higher levels of cortisol themselves, have a decreased vascular elasticity and delayed vasodilation (leading to issues related to high blood pressure), have fewer pancreatic beta cells (the cells that make insulin), and tend towards osteoporosis in adulthood.
👶Stress also activates the inflammation process in the baby’s body, which leads to activation of the immune system, releasing chemicals called cytokines. Cytokines are not a bad thing until there is overproduction or inappropriate production, at which point disease or dysfunction occurs.
👶A baby’s brain does not begin to produce serotonin until late in pregnancy. The placenta does provide serotonin to the baby at a level which helps develop both structure and function of the baby’s brain. Animal studies have shown that increased serotonin exposure to fetal brain tissue in utero alters many neuronal circuits which can lead to behavioral problems later in life.
👶Neonatal nutritional deficiencies can affect fetal programming. Malnutrition comes in two forms: under nutrition (scarcity of food) and unhealthy eating habits with high calorie, low nutrition diets. Both result in a lack of essential micronutrients such as iron, folate, choline, vitamin B12, zinc, tryptophan, omega 3 fatty acids and iodine which are crucial to fetal brain development.

All of this has profound implications on us as adults, but also on babies 👶forming in the womb. For us grownup humans, if it is suspected (or known) that we were carried by our mothers under stressful conditions, some of us may have to work a little harder🙏💪😴 at mediating stress response because of our own fetal programming scenario. Half the battle is understanding the why. 😉The other half is knowing how to use the tools we have on hand to help support a healthy mind and body. Thank goodness for these tools of ours! I’ve talked at length about them, so I leave it up to you to revisit those posts. Ideally, please share in the comments below what modalities you have found that work best for you. Our personal stories help light the path so that others may also find their way.

Now, what about these sweet babies👶in the womb? Thankfully, the placenta plays a vital role in protecting the baby from harmful chemicals that may be in the mother’s blood by acting as both a barrier and a filtration system. A healthy functioning placenta will go a long way to prevent a biochemical or synthetic chemical cause for negative fetal programming. I always smile when I hear a new mama talking about how her midwife or doctor marveled over the beauty of her placenta that was supported daily with NingXia Red. There are soooo many of these stories out there! Some of the ways a healthy placenta may be supported include: NingXia Red, Master Formula, Super C Chewables, Mineral Essence, Sulfurzyme, Multigreens, Super B.* (*all with approval from your trusted doctor or midwife of course! ).

The good news is that fetal programming works both ways. Incorporating a healthy mind, body, and spirit/ soul experience throughout pregnancy with improved quality of food eaten, reduced exposure to hormone disruptive and toxic environmental chemicals and mediating maternal anxiety in natural ways improves the chances of a positively “programmed” tiny person who is more apt to be able to roll with life’s punches physically and emotionally. Remember too, that thoughts and words mean something to the body whether that body is an adult or a fetus, and the effects may either be a honeyed balm or a toxin. Words matter, and the body reflects what we think and feel about ourselves.

Use your Thieves Household Cleaner. Toss the toxins.
Diffuse your favorite Young Living essential oils. Ditch the endocrine disrupting fake fragrance air fresheners and plug-ins.
Honor your body and the bodies of future generations with your choices.
Think about all those little babies who are worth it! So are we. Each one of us.

Attention Deficit

Liz James · February 21, 2022 ·

Do you find it interesting that the diagnosis of “attention deficit disorder” didn’t exist until 1980? I do. A “diagnosis” is important because without one, insurance companies won’t pay for a treatment. Insurance companies rarely pay for a holistic approach but nearly always pay for a pharmaceutical approach. Follow the money.

My formal pharmacist education took place in the late 80’s and very early 90’s where mental health disorders were “absolutely” attributed to a chemical imbalance in the brain. Thankfully, this theory has been debunked (though many people still erroneously believe it to be true, and sadly many many practitioners prescribe as though it is true). Later, it was blamed on genetics. This too has been debunked.

Just as with most mental health disorders, there is no biological marker (ie: no affirmative blood work) for diagnosing ADHD. All diagnosis is based on behavioral characteristics: lack of focus ability, impulsivity, and hyperactivity.

After attention deficit disorder became an official diagnosis in 1980, the % of kiddos said to have it began creeping upwards. By the early 1980’s it was 3%… 5% by 1984….. and 10%+ now. Not coincidentally, 🤔 this timeline also coincides with a massive increase in the childhood vaccination schedule, decreased playtime outdoors, the introduction of and massive increase in screen time, less family time, increased toxin load including glyphosate and heavily processed foods as an eating way of life.

THIS is the most important piece of the article below:
” The problem doesn’t necessarily lie within the child, but rather arises from the child’s response to his or her environment. Society could see the “prevalence” of the disorder as a marker of distress in society.”

Take some time to read the study ( towards the end of the article) . The outcome of the study can be broken down as such:

🔎 There is no evidence in the trial of preschoolers that taking methylphidate actually facilitated better functioning children.

🔎 Kids put on methylphenidate frequently suffered moderate to severe adverse events (prone to crying, crabbiness, picking at their skin, insomnia, anxiety, loss of appetite).

🔎 At the end of the 10 month trial, the kids were notably shorter (20% less growth) and lighter in weight (52% less than expected).

Also of interest in this trial: (excerpt directly from the attached study)

👉Many toddlers apparently got better with parent training as a first intervention and parents removed their child from the study as a result.

👉In the randomized four-week trial, only 21% had an excellent response to the drug, compared to 13% in the placebo group. This means that if you medicated 100 preschoolers with methylphenidate, there would only be eight additional “excellent responders” than there would have been otherwise.

👉Adverse effects on methylphenidate were frequent and told of behavioral deterioration, particularly in the 10-month maintenance phase.

👉There is only a small percentage of preschoolers—10% to 15%—that could be said to enjoy a benefit from the treatment in terms of reduction of symptoms over the short term. That means that 85% or so of all toddlers treated with methylphenidate will experience the adverse effects of that drug without receiving any additional benefit, a net result that tells of harm done.

👉 The study did have three and six year follow ups with the kids. Here is the outcome: At the 3 year mark 66% were on additional psychiatric drugs, and at the 6 year mark 73% were.

Another quote from the article following this information:
“The findings tell of stolen childhoods. These children were diagnosed with ADHD as preschoolers and that turned two-thirds of them into persistent mental patients who grew up constantly on psychiatric drugs. At their tenth birthdays, this group would have no memory of being alive without the mind-altering effects of psychiatric drugs.”

Additionally,
” What fate awaits as they move into their teenage years and into adulthood? While there are long lists of adverse effects associated with longer-term use of stimulants and other psychiatric drugs, which collectively tell of impaired physical health and social development, there is an absence of good research on how such drugs may fundamentally alter brain development over time. However, there have been animal studies studying the effects and those studies have sounded an alarm. ” A lifetime of exposure to stimulants in animals demonstrated disinterest in exploring new things, disinterest in the brain’s reward system, reduced ability to experience pleasure.

👉One final note on the PATS trial: in the published report of the safety and efficacy results, the authors collectively disclosed 72 “relationships” with pharmaceutical companies, with the manufacturers of ADHD drugs prominent on the list of disclosures. Do you understand what that means? Any study with ties to a pharmaceutical company will be slanted in favor those with the gold.

Our country’s babies are the canary in the coalmine.

Our job as healthcare professionals👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ should include assessing risk versus benefit and actually presenting that information so that informed decision making can be made as an opportunity to the client. We are the ultimate CEO’s of ourselves and our families. I see posts all the time “this or that”…. and people pick (ie: salty versus sweet). As simple as that sounds, we aren’t choosing blindly because we know what salty and sweet tastes like.

….. and yet, taking medication without full disclosure (similar to what I just wrote above regarding methylphenidate) or offering the exploration of an alternative plan of action instead rarely happens. Why is that?🤔 Follow the money. 💰

Informed consent. Everyone has a right to choose what works best for themselves and their family….. at least for now. Believe me, they’d like to take that away from each one of us.

Don’t give up your right to choose. But choose with informed consent. Do your own research and dig deeply…. beyond what anyone in a white coat tells you. Use your Holy Spirit discernment, and then dig in and do your due diligence. God gave that to each one of us who chooses to use it.

Young Living Foundation

Liz James · February 10, 2022 ·

One of (the many!) things I love about Young Living is the ever presence of the Young Living Foundation. My husband and I were able to have dinner earlier this year with Asher Telleen (founder of Sole Hope), and Ben Cooley (co-founder of Hope for Justice) while we were in Salt Lake City. Hearing their very personal stories about how each organization came into being, and how impactful the Young Living foundation has been on the lives that are changed by both organizations was one of the deepest meaningful conversations I’ve ever been a part of.

Lives aren’t just changed. They are saved. Please. Round up on your orders if you don’t already. Someone’s life depends on it.

Health Clues from Temperature-part 1

Liz James · February 9, 2022 ·

Body Temperature Part I: The Truth about 98.6

Usually when we talk about 🌡temperature it’s generally in relation to illness or fertility. You’ve heard people say, “My body temperature just runs low.”, and we accept that as “normal” for them. Heck, I was one of those people too, until I learned the truth.🧐

I’m no physics expert, but we’re gonna talk about some very basic physics and biology “laws” for just a hot minute.🤓 I promise to keep it simple. Understanding these principles will help seal this information into your memory.

✅Temperature is an indicator of heat in a system.

✅Heat is energy.

✅Vibration produces heat.

✅Cells vibrate, and in doing so, produce heat.

✅Every cellular reaction in the body occurs optimally (key word!) at a specific “heat” level.

✅Energy (heat) produces cell voltage (imagine a cell has a battery) which alters the pH of the body.

✅The vibration of molecules within cells is measured electrically. The “hertz” unit is used to measure electrical vibrations (known as frequency).

✅If the production of energy (heat) drops in the body, cellular vibrations have slowed down and frequency (measured in hertz/ Htz) and pH are affected.

✅Low frequency and an acidic pH are associated with cancer, chronic disease, and mental health issues.

How’s that for a nutshell version of a basic Law of Thermodynamics and its relationship to mammal biology? 😁

Beyond the microscopic view of body temperature, there are certainly other factors at play:

🌡The hypothalamus (located in the brain) directs the opening and closing of blood flow to the skin. It works in tandem with the thyroid and other tiny but mighty glands and organs. Damage to any of them may affect body temperature.

🌡Stress also interferes with, and drives down body temperature. Cold hand and/or feet are often a reflection of stress response. Conversely, warmer hands/feet indicate relaxation. We can grow used to living with chronic stress, but the body doesn’t lie.

🌡Adrenal fatigue or insufficiency

🌡Hormone imbalance (commonly low progesterone or estrogen dominance in women, or low testosterone in men)🌡Unresolved emotional trauma

🌡Heavy metal or chemical toxicity (including medications)

🌡Some people may be born with a lower body temperature. This may be due to any of the above. Do not minimize the generational impact of toxins, unresolved emotional trauma, energetically dead food, and poor water quality on babies!

Chronic low body temperature is often a common clue or symptom of a known (or yet unknown) disorder or distress. 👨‍⚕️Dr. David Jernigan writes, “The colder a body becomes, the slower the electrical oscillatory rate and therefore the thicker, more viscous, or syrupy the body fluids become. The more viscous the fluids become the more difficult it is for the body to push the fluids through the body. The lymph fluids that are normally supposed to bathe the outsides of all of your cells become progressively stagnant as it is too thick to move efficiently.”

Jernigan’s illustration above is a graphic description of what happens when body fluids become stagnant. If low body temperature becomes a chronic issue, several things begin happening:

🌡The body becomes a home for viruses, certain bacteria, and chronic infection

🌡Gradual cellular death (without regeneration) begins to happen

🌡Actions of enzymes, vitamins, minerals, hormones, neurotransmitters and other body essential chemicals are compromised

🌡Acidity of the body increases and serious disorders and diseases begin appearing.

🌡Frequency of the body drops and negative emotions begin to predominate

🌡It becomes even harder for the body to spit out toxins

🌡Smooth muscle tone is affected and fluid begins leaking out into tissue and edema results

Can chronic low body temperature be corrected?🤔🙏 You bet it can, and we’re going to discuss that next week! 🙌Remember, the wall around Jerusalem didn’t get destroyed in a single day and it wasn’t rebuilt in a single day either! And, Nehemiah didn’t do it alone. He sought out a community of like minded people with different skill sets to help him rebuild, and they persevered… even despite toxic (both physical and emotional) onslaught in the process. Your life is a story of clues, and although God is the ultimate author of each of our stories, the choices we make play a huge part in the writing of it!

xoxo~ liz
